The Navigator is Lincoln's full size luxury SUV, sold since the 1998 model year and based on the Ford Expedition. It was the first full size luxury SUV and is the heaviest production Lincoln and the one with the greatest cargo capacity. Built first at Michigan Assembly in Wayne and since 2009 also at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, it has had five generations, with long wheelbase L and Max versions.
