The Navigator was redesigned under the program code U326 for the 2007 model year and unveiled at the Chicago show in February 2006, with new front and rear fascias and side cladding, a split chrome grille with integrated fog lights resembling the 1946 to 1948 Continental, and a more prominent power dome hood. A new long wheelbase Navigator L, the U418, accompanied it. Both were based on Ford's T1 platform, related to the 2004 F-150.
