Lincoln refreshed the Navigator for the 2022 model year, unveiled in August 2021, in the fourth generation that had begun for 2018. The refresh kept the aluminum body and body on frame construction of the generation, engineered alongside the 2015 Ford F-150, and the Navigator remained a full size luxury SUV sold in North America and based on the Ford Expedition. The fourth generation had an aluminum body on a steel ladder frame, engineered with the Expedition alongside the 2015 F-150.
