The third generation Navigator and Navigator L continued to be offered for the 2010 model year with only slight changes. The 5.4 liter V8 with flex fuel capability remained, with Ford's own 6R80 six speed automatic. The optional 20 inch chrome aluminum wheels offered from 2007 to 2010 were about to be replaced by polished ones. The Navigator was produced at Michigan Assembly in Wayne and at Kentucky Truck in Louisville. The third generation was based on Ford's T1 platform, related to the 2004 and later F-150, and was offered as the Navigator and the long wheelbase Navigator L.
