The Mark series was Ford's flagship personal luxury coupe line, revived in 1969 as the Continental Mark III after the hand built Mark II of 1956 and 1957 and the Continental Marks of 1958 to 1960. The Mark III, IV and V were upscaled Thunderbirds, the Mark VI moved to the Panther platform and added a sedan, the Mark VII used the Fox platform, and the Mark VIII of 1993 to 1998 was the first Mark branded entirely as a Lincoln. The earlier Mark IIs and the 1958 to 1960 cars are covered with the Lincoln Continental. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 6 generations: the Mark III (1969 to 1971); the Mark IV (1972 to 1976); the Mark V (1977 to 1979); the Mark VI (1980 to 1983); the Mark VII (1984 to 1992); the Mark VIII (1993 to 1998).
