All Automobile Makes

The automobile makes, the brand names that cars are sold under, such as Honda, which is the marque on Honda cars and is distinct from Honda Motor Co., Ltd., the company that builds them. A company can sell cars under several makes, as Honda introduced the Acura brand in 1986, and a make can change owners over time, so each make has its own page that records the brand, when it began and the company or companies that own it. An entry belongs here when it is a brand that automobiles are sold under. It excludes the manufacturing companies themselves, which are listed under the automobile manufacturers, and the individual models, which belong to the vehicle pages.
