Century

Century is the Japanese ultra luxury marque of Toyota, placed above Lexus in the group and aimed at rivals such as Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Maybach and Bentley. The name had been a Toyota nameplate since 1967, used mainly on a large luxury sedan sold in Japan, and on 16 October 2025 Akio Toyoda announced that it would be spun off into a separate brand. The new marque is to concentrate on handcrafted ultra luxury automobiles and, for the first time, to be sold outside Japan, starting in a few test markets. The Century sedan and the Century SUV fall under it, and a Century coupe concept is planned as a third model.
