Austin-Healey was a British sports car marque formed in 1952 as a joint venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation and Donald Healey's engineering and design firm. It built the Austin-Healey 100, 100-6 and 3000, the big Healeys, and the small Sprite, whose first model became known as the Frogeye in Britain and the Bugeye in the United States. Donald Healey left the group in 1968 when British Motor Holdings merged into British Leyland, and the cars were built until 1972, when the twenty-year agreement between Healey and Austin came to an end.
