Ajax was an American automobile brand made by the Nash Motors Company of Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1925 and 1926 at the newly acquired former Mitchell Motors plant in Racine. It used machinery moved from the LaFayette plant in Milwaukee and offered a 170 cubic inch Nash straight-six with four-wheel brakes, steel disc wheels and an electric clock in three body styles. Customers doubted the value-priced Ajax was a real Nash, so after 22,122 Model 21 and Model 51 cars were sold the brand was dropped and all unshipped cars were rebadged as the Nash Light Six, probably the industry's first example of one car becoming another. Few unmodified Ajax cars survive.
