The BRZ is Subaru's rear wheel drive 2+2 sports car, built since 2012 and developed jointly with Toyota, which sells the same car as the 86 and GR86 and, in the United States until 2016, as the Scion FR-S. Both are made at Subaru's Ota, Gunma plant. The name stands for Boxer engine, Rear wheel drive and Zenith, and the cars were inspired by Toyota's earlier AE86. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation (2012 to 2020); the second generation (2021 on).
