The first generation BRZ, coded ZC6, was the Subaru version of the 2+2 sports car that Toyota and Subaru developed together, with a naturally aspirated boxer engine, front engine and rear wheel drive layout, a 53 to 47 weight balance and a low center of gravity. It differed from the Toyota 86 in its front fascia, with an inverted hexagonal grille, and in its suspension setup. In late July 2020 Subaru ended production of the first generation BRZ. Its model years run from 2012 to 2020.
