Mazda2

The Mazda2 is Mazda's subcompact car, sold from 2002 as a hatchback and, in some markets, a sedan, and called the Demio in Japan until 2019. It is the entry level Mazda outside Japan, sitting below the Mazda3, and its direct predecessor was exported as the Mazda 121. The first two generations used Ford platforms, the second won the 2008 World Car of the Year, and from 2022 Europe has also had a Mazda2 Hybrid based on the Toyota Yaris.
