The E83W had a single generation across twenty model years, powered by the 1,172 cc Ford ten horsepower side valve engine of 30 horsepower with a three speed gearbox and a heavily geared down rear axle, which limited it to about 40 miles per hour. It shared its heavy axles with the Ford V8 models and its headlamps with the E27N tractor. Its model years run from 1938 to 1957. The E83W was a half ton light commercial vehicle that Ford of Britain built at Dagenham, with a small side valve engine.
