The van was sold in Australia as the Ford Ten Ten, and the E83W of 1956 was available in various forms around much of the world. It was a half ton van built by Ford of Britain at the Dagenham plant, in its last two years of production, sold as a Thames. The E83W was a half ton light commercial vehicle that Ford of Britain built at Dagenham, with a small side valve engine. It was sold as a Fordson and later as a Thames, and exported widely as Britain sought export sales after the war.
