1943 Fordson E83W

Automobiles

An estate car variant of the E83W was also available in 1943, alongside the van, though it was not a great success. The Fordson of 1943 was a half ton commercial vehicle built at the Dagenham plant, with the same 1,172 cc ten horsepower side valve engine as the earlier cars. It was sold as a Fordson and later as a Thames, and exported widely as Britain sought export sales after the war. The E83W was a half ton light commercial vehicle that Ford of Britain built at Dagenham, with a small side valve engine.
