The first Taunus M-series was the 12M of 1952, the first new German Ford after the war, with ponton styling like the British Zephyr, joined by the 15M with a new engine in 1955 and the big finned 17M P2 of 1957. The second generation 12M of 1959 was a reworking of the 1952 car. Its model years here run from 1953 to 1959. The Taunus was the family car of Ford Germany, sold under the 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M and 26M names over several generations.
