1956 Ford Taunus

Automobiles

The Taunus of 1956 was offered as the 12M with a 1172 cc sidevalve engine and the 15M with a 1498 cc overhead valve engine. Body styles were a two door sedan, a two door station wagon and a sedan delivery, in ponton styling similar to the British Zephyr. The Taunus was the family car of Ford Germany, sold under the 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M and 26M names over several generations. It was named after the Taunus mountain range in Germany and was often a close relative of a British Ford.
