1953 Ford Taunus

Automobiles

The Taunus 12M of 1953 featured ponton styling, similar in style to the British Ford Zephyr, and a 1172 cc sidevalve engine of 38 PS, giving a top speed of 112 kilometres per hour. Body styles were two door sedan, two door station wagon and sedan delivery. It was named after the Taunus mountain range in Germany and was often a close relative of a British Ford. The Taunus was the family car of Ford Germany, sold under the 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M and 26M names over several generations.
