The third form, from 1980, took the front sheet metal and grille of the Taunus TC3 and the Cortina Mk5, and from 1982 it was called the P100 and exported from South Africa to Europe, with a lengthened chassis and tray for Europe. It was released in Europe as the Cortina was replaced by the Sierra. Its model years run from 1980 to 1987. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe.
