In late 1987, for the 1988 model year, the P100 was re bodied with a new Ford Sierra based cab, so 1987 was the last year of the Cortina based pickup. The earlier models were coupe utilities built in South Africa on the Cortina Mk5 and Taunus TC3. It began as the Cortina Pickup and ended in 1995 on the Sierra, built in Portugal. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe.
