The P100 of 1988 had the Sierra's 2.0 litre Pinto carburettor petrol engine at first, and a 1.8 litre turbodiesel followed soon after. It had a new Sierra based cab and was a coupe utility built for Europe, on a design set out by Ford UK. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe. It began as the Cortina Pickup and ended in 1995 on the Sierra, built in Portugal.
