From 1982 the P100 name was adopted and the pickup was exported from South Africa to Europe. For Europe the chassis and tray were lengthened, while in South Africa it was sold in both short and long wheelbase versions, as a coupe utility on the Taunus TC3 and Cortina Mk5. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe. It began as the Cortina Pickup and ended in 1995 on the Sierra, built in Portugal.
