A further change came for 1980 with the front sheet metal and revised grille of the Taunus TC3 and the Cortina Mk5. The pickup of 1980 was still built in South Africa as a coupe utility on a medium sized Ford, and was sold there as the Ford 1 Tonner. The P100 was a coupe utility pickup that Ford built on the front half of a family car, sold first in South Africa and then in Europe. It began as the Cortina Pickup and ended in 1995 on the Sierra, built in Portugal.
