The Country Squire was a series of full size station wagons built by Ford from 1950 through the 1991 model years, over eight generations. Positioned as the top level station wagon of the Ford division, it was distinguished by woodgrain bodyside trim. The Mercury Colony Park was its divisional counterpart. It was discontinued as part of the development of the 1992 Crown Victoria and passenger carrying duties went to the Windstar, after a 41 year production run, the third longest of a Ford car nameplate in North America. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 8 generations: the first generation (1950 to 1951); the second generation (1952 to 1954); the third generation (1955 to 1956); the fourth generation (1957 to 1959); the fifth generation (1960 to 1964); the sixth generation (1965 to 1968); the seventh generation (1969 to 1978); the eighth generation (1979 to 1991).
