The Toyota Chaser is a mid size car that Toyota produced for six generations, from July 1977 until 2001, sold only at Japanese Toyota Auto Store dealerships as their top level model. It was introduced on the Toyota Mark II platform, started as a four door sedan and hardtop with a two door coupe in the first generation only, and was one of Toyota's triplet sedans, rebadged models of the same car sold through different sales channels together with the Mark II and the Cresta. Production ceased in 2001 when the Chaser and the Cresta were replaced by the short lived Verossa.
