The Chaser was discontinued in June 2001, and production ceased in 2001 when both it and the Cresta were replaced by the short lived Verossa. In 2004 the all new X120 Mark X was introduced in Japan, incorporating many characteristics of the Chaser and the Cresta. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Chaser (sixth generation, X100), 1996 to 2001, following the 2000 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Chaser run from 1977 to 2001.
