The Land Rover Freelander was the small four-wheel-drive Land Rover sold from 1997 to 2015, first as the three- and five-door L314 and from 2006 as the five-door Freelander 2, which was sold as the LR2 in North America and the Middle East. It was the brand's first monocoque model after half a century of body-on-frame vehicles, it became Europe's best-selling four-wheel drive for five years, and from 2010 it was the first Land Rover offered with two-wheel drive. The Discovery Sport replaced it in 2015. Each generation and model year has its own page.
