1999 Land Rover Freelander

Automobiles

The 1999 Freelander was in its second full year, a small Land Rover that was still selling strongly as Europe's best-selling four-wheel drive. It was available as a three-door soft-back, hard-back or commercial, or as a five-door estate, in trims from E to HSE, with Rover's 1.8-litre K-series petrol engine or the 2.0-litre L-series diesel, which stayed in production until 2000. Its designer Gerry McGovern left Land Rover for Ford that year.
