2004 Land Rover Freelander

Automobiles

An improved Freelander went on sale in 2004, with a reworked cabin and extensive exterior changes, among them a new nose and tail. In the United States, 5,430 Freelanders were sold in 2004, down from 6,618 in 2003. The KV6 engine had problems with iron cylinder liners that could slip out of place and with the thermostat and coolant expansion tank, and the automatic gearbox with shift solenoid failure.
