The 2013 model year Freelander 2 was restyled with a new grille and revised cabin trim. This was the facelift of the second generation, which also offered the optional Meridian audio system with an Audyssey tuning system and a 5-inch colour display screen even on the entry-level models. The 2013 update came a year before the last Freelander 2 was built and two before the Discovery Sport replaced it. The car was still assembled at Halewood near Liverpool and still available with the PSA 2.2-litre diesel in its eD4, TD4 and SD4 states of tune.
