Ford Prefect

Automobiles

The Prefect was a British car from Ford UK, sold from 1938 to 1961 as the upmarket sibling of the small Ford Popular and Ford Anglia family cars. It appeared in October 1938 and ran until 1941, came back in 1945 and stayed on sale until 1961, moving in 1953 from its original upright look to a modern three box structure. Ford Australia also built and sold some versions. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the E93A (1938 to 1948); the E493A (1949 to 1952); the 100E (1953 to 1958); the 107E (1959 to 1961).
