The 1958 Prefect continued in the 100E series, a four door saloon with vertical bars on the radiator grille, integral construction and coil independent front suspension, with separate front seats trimmed in PVC and leather as an option. Over its life 100,554 of the Prefect 100E were made. The estate car, the Squire, was also offered, and the Anglia was its two door counterpart. The Prefect was the four door counterpart of the Ford Anglia, built by Ford UK.
