From October 1947 the grille slats of the Australian A53A Prefect were chrome plated. In Britain the E93A, a four door saloon, was the cheapest 4 door car on the British market in standard form according to The Motor, powered by a 1,172 cc side valve engine and with vacuum powered windscreen wipers. It was a slightly longer four door car than the two door Anglia. The Prefect was an upmarket version of the Ford Anglia, built by Ford UK.
