The second generation pickup of 1977 had blockier styling, front disc brakes and an optional Ford built 2.3 litre engine, and it kept the single headlights that set it apart from the Mazda B series. It was sold in North America until 1982, when the Ranger replaced it, and carried on in Australia until 1985. Its model years run from 1977 to 1984. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans.
