The Courier continued to be sold in North America until the 1982 model year, the last in the United States and Canada, after which the Ranger replaced it. In other markets such as Australia this generation went on to 1985. Between 1979 and 1982 Jet Industries made electric conversions. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans.
