The Country Sedan had a single run of twenty three model years as the mid trim wagon of the full size Ford line, part of the Customline range to 1954, in its own wagon series from 1955, and sold against the Galaxie and Galaxie 500 in the 1960s. It gained a self storing tailgate window in 1961 and the Magic Door Gate in 1966. Its model years run from 1952 to 1974. The Country Sedan was the mid trim station wagon of the full size Ford range, with plain body sides.
