Rover

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Rover is a British car brand used for a hundred years from 1904, when the Rover Company of Coventry added cars to its bicycle business, to 2005, when MG Rover collapsed. It was a respected maker of well engineered family and executive saloons such as the P4, P5 and P6, and in 1970 the firm created the Range Rover. The marque passed through Leyland, British Leyland, the Rover Group, British Aerospace, BMW and MG Rover, with Honda a partner on the models of the 1980s and 1990s. Its rights now sit with Jaguar Land Rover and the brand is dormant.
