1971 Rover P6

Automobiles

A four speed manual 3500S model was added in 1971, fitted with a modified version of the gearbox used in the 2000 and 2200, where the S stood for Synchromesh and not Sport, and the 3500S was noticeably quicker than the automatic version with a 0 to 60 mph time of 9 seconds, compared with 10.1. A high compression version of the V8 producing 184 hp was added in 1971. It was the second year of the Series II.
