Mitsubishi Chariot

Automobiles

The Chariot was a small multi purpose vehicle that Mitsubishi built from 1983 to 2003, based on the SSW concept shown at the 1979 Tokyo Motor Show and named for the chariots of the ancient Greek and Roman empires. It was sold abroad as the Space Wagon, the Nimbus and the Expo, and as the Dodge and Plymouth Colt Vista and Eagle Vista Wagon in North America, and was built under license as the Hyundai Santamo. The third generation, the Chariot Grandis, grew into a large minivan and was replaced by the Grandis in 2003. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the first generation (1983 to 1990); the second generation (1991 to 1996); the third generation (1997 to 2003).
