The first generation Econoline was a forward control van based on the Falcon, released on 21 September 1960 for 1961 with a mid engine between the front seats, a flat load floor and a 90 inch wheelbase, powered by inline six engines. It came as a cargo van, a passenger van, a Station Bus, a Club Wagon and a pickup, and as a Mercury Econoline in Canada. Its model years run from 1961 to 1967. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis.
