The pickup truck body style ended production after the 1967 model year, remaining unique to the first generation, as the van had outsold it nine to one. The 1967 Econoline was the last of the Falcon based vans, a mid engined forward control van, with a Mercury version sold in Canada. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis.
