Plymouth Belvedere (full size 1954 to 1956)

Automobiles

In 1954 the Belvedere replaced the Cranbrook as Plymouth's top line and became a full model series of sedans, wagons and a convertible, with the hardtop renamed the Sport Coupe and a cheaper Plaza below it. The 1955 cars introduced Virgil Exner's Forward Look, and V8 power came in. Tailfins and a push button automatic transmission arrived for 1956, along with the high performance Fury as a special edition. Its model years run from 1954 to 1956.
