1955 Plymouth Belvedere

Automobiles

All Plymouths underwent a major overhaul for 1955, the first year of Virgil Exner's Forward Look styling, and the Belvedere returned as the top of the line with the Plaza as the entry model. Chrysler promoted the new appearance in a short film showing cars built at its Lynch Road plant. On February 26, midway through the model year, the engine stroke was lengthened a quarter inch, raising displacement and power from 100 to 110 horsepower.
