The third generation Minica was introduced in October 1972 as the Minica F4, with a 359 cc OHC engine in the same layout and a liftable clam shell rear window. The four stroke Vulcan 2G21 MCA engine was much cleaner than its two stroke predecessors. In 1976, to meet new kei rules, it became the Minica 5 with a 471 cc engine. It was a kei car sold by Mitsubishi in Japan. Its model years run from 1972 to 1976.
