In late 1974 or early 1975 the Minica Van was updated to accept the new, larger license plates that were now required. The Minica F4 of 1975 had a 359 cc OHC four stroke engine with a balance shaft, called Silent Shaft, that made 30 PS in the MCA II form, and a top speed of 115 km/h, and it was a low cost small car in a shrinking kei market. The Van range continued to use the previous body. The Vulcan S engine came equipped with a balance shaft later baptised Silent Shaft.
