The 8 Series is BMW's top grand tourer, a coupe on sale from 1990 to 1999 as the E31, powered by V8 and V12 engines and priced well above the 6 Series, and revived in 2018 as the G15 coupe, G14 convertible and G16 Gran Coupe. BMW announced in the autumn of 2025 that the second generation would be discontinued without replacement, and the regular 8 Series left production in April 2026. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the E31 (1990 to 1999); the G14, G15, G16 (2018 to 2026).
