Leyland

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Leyland Motors was a British maker of commercial vehicles that grew from a Lancashire steam-wagon works at Leyland. It produced lorries and buses for many decades, among them the Comet truck, the Titan and Atlantean double-deckers, the National single-decker and the Olympian. The company also acquired other makers such as Triumph and Rover, and in 1968 it merged into British Leyland, whose bus and truck divisions later passed to other owners.
