The Leyland B21 was a bus chassis made by Leyland between 1979 and 1985, developed from the integral Leyland National for overseas markets, its biggest being Australia. It was assembled at Leyland's Workington factory, with some work done at the Bristol works. In Australia Transperth bought 20 and Darwin Bus Service 18, all powered by the GM 6V71, and other buyers included Benders Busways, Delwood Coaches, Melbourne-Brighton Bus Lines, Nowra Coaches and Surfside Buslines. Belgium's SNCV of Brussels took 25, Egged of Israel sought 150 but the deal fell through on financing, and in the United Kingdom Ipswich Buses bought four and Ulsterbus six.
