The Duster was a sporty two door coupe version of the compact Plymouth Valiant, with a semi-fastback roof, introduced in late 1969 for the 1970 model year as a $15 million effort to update the Valiant. It competed with the Ford Maverick and AMC Hornet, spawned economy and performance trim packages, and gave Dodge its own version, the Demon. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the original (1970 to 1976).
