Following the design changes on the Valiant, the 1973 Duster received a new hood, grille, front fenders, bumpers and taillights, mounted from the outside and trimmed in chrome. Single piston slider type disc brake calipers replaced the earlier four piston Kelsey Hayes ones, a Space Duster package let the back seat fold down for cargo, and a metal sunroof was optional. The Duster 340 remained the performance version of the range, with the 318 as the usual V8 choice.
